YAY, M*A*S*H! You don't know how happy I am that anyone likes (or even knows) this show! I've never heard of the films.

Oh, that is so cool! I grew up on old reruns, and am also old enough to have seen the last couple of season in real time. I guess I was part of history in watching the finale. Were you ever on LiveJournal? There was a community rewatch some years ago and it was fantastic! There are some passionate fans, but I know they're few & far between. It's such an old show. I bet younger people have never even heard of it.

(Technically my journal is still there, but I had to delete a lot of content with the recent new ToS.)

Yeah, that's the reason why I finally deleted mine as well. I miss it, and the friends I had there. But most didn't come here, so they weren't as attached to me as I was to them. Whatever.

I wasn't in M*A*S*H fandom back then, though. (edit) I forgot that when I originally wrote M*A*S*H fiction was back on Yahoo! Groups!

Wow, Yahoo Groups! That's a blast from the past!

That is so cool! I hope to get the DVDs someday. I should have just bought them little by little. I would have them by now. I've heard the Martinis & Medicine boxed set wasn't so great because the discs would slip all the time and get scratched. I'd rather have the individual seasons anyway.

Anyway, it's always great to come across another fan. It's so rare. I was introduced to it by my 5th/6th grade teacher. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for younger kids. But when I watched it, a lot of the adult themes went over my head at the time. It's one of those shows that can work on both levels.

Great to see another fan! We are few & far between.
